Not Me Monday!

Ok, several of my friends do this on their blogs, and I just couldn't help but join in on the fun. So, for those of you who follow my blog I'm proud to introduce "Not Me Mondays". Each Monday (if I remember!) you will find my snarky, sarcastic confessions of the things I most certainly did NOT do the week before. Enjoy! :)

I certainly did NOT feed my daughter Gerber Little Graduate meals for dinner 3 days in a row. Nope, not me. Only healthy, home cooked, organic meals for my little one. Even though I was training for work all week I still managed to prepare and plan each of her meals for the week. Yep, that's what happened.

I also did not allow my husband to do all of the laundry and dishes the whole week because I was so tired from my first full week of work. Nope, I still managed to do it all myself (while cooking the home cooked organic meals too!) and didn't need his help at all.

I definitley did not get up in the middle of the night one night while everyone was sleeping just to eat candy corn! No way. I would never give in to a craving like that, especially at night. Nope, I'm always totally in control and only eat healthy snacks. Yep.

That's my story and I'm stickin to it!

Work Update

Well, after 4 successful days of training I now know more about carpet, upholstery and tile cleaning than I ever thought I would! Haha. I feel like a Stanley Steemer pro and have had that song stuck in my head all week, "call 1-800-Steemer, Stanley Steemer gets your home cleaner!". Haha. All joking aside though it has been a really good week. Being away from Delaney during the last few days has been hard, but she did so much better than I thought she would and the days went by really fast. Now I am happy to get back to being with her all day, and starting Saturday I'll be spending some nights answering phones for Stanley Steemer customers. So, if you have a carpet cleaning question, I'm your girl! I'm very thankful to have found a job with such a flexible schedule, good earning potential and really great people. I can tell I'm going to be very happy at my new part time job. Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes, and I apologize if I haven't been available much this week. When I wasn't working I wanted to spend every second with Delaney and Cory. Also, getting up at 6am each day started to take it's toll on me and a few nights I was in bed by 9pm! I hope to update again soon with some new pics of Laney so stay tuned...

20 months and counting....

Delaney is now nearly 21 months old, but I realized today that I did not update at her 20 month birthday so here are a few pics from that day. She is becoming more of a girly, girl every day. Her favorite things to do are play tea party, baby dolls, and color. She is really doing great with counting, her alphabet and shapes. She can count to 15 on her own, say her whole alphabet as well as sing the song, and she recognizes squares, circles, ovals, rectangles, triangles, hearts and stars. We are working on letter recognition, she can point out A, O, and S very easily on her own. It never fails to amaze me when we are out and about and she points to something and says "rectangle" or "A". We are just so proud of our girl and feel blessed beyond belief to have her in our lives!

"Hi Ho,Hi Ho, It's off to work I go..."

For those of you who haven't heard yet, I have accepted a part time position with Stanley Steemer. I will be a customer service advisor, working 3 evenings a week and on Saturday. I am both excited and nervous about this next step and what it will mean to our family. I am not used to leaving Delaney on a regular basis so I am of course apprehensive about that, but I am very thankful that I will still be able to stay home with Delaney during the day and when I am not home Cory will be. One nice thing about going back to work is that I get to dress nice several times a week, and I'm not the only one enjoying that...as you can see Delaney was having a ball today in Mommy's work shoes! I start a week of training next week and then start my actual work schedule the following week. I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes, keep us in your prayers as we go through the transition. Thanks!
